The 7th Tradition, Long Form

The A.A. groups themselves ought to be fully supported by the voluntary contributions of their own members. We think that each group should soon achieve this ideal; that any public solicitation of funds using the name of Alcoholics Anonymous is highly dangerous, whether by groups, clubs, hospitals, or other agencies; that acceptance of large gifts from any source, or of contributions carrying any obligation whatever, is unwise. Then too, we view with much concern those A.A. treasuries, which continue, beyond prudent reserves, to accumulate funds for not stated A.A. purpose. Experience has often warned us that nothing can so surely destroy our spiritual heritage as futile disputes over property, money and authority.

Member Contributions

Contributions to A.A. service entities are accepted only from members of Alcoholics Anonymous. By contributing you certify you are a member of A.A. and/or you are contributing on behalf of your Meeting or Group and agree to provide your Group or Meeting name, the day of the week, the time of the Meeting, and the location in which your Group meets.

The annual contribution limit from individuals to the Central Office of Santa Fe is $5,000.

District 2 and the Central Office of Santa Fe jointly produce the printed Meeting Directory and maintain the online Meeting Directory, manage this A.A. Website, sell A.A. conference-approved literature and chips, and provide additional services for meetings in Los Alamos, Rio Arriba and Santa Fe Counties.
